Kaitlyn Mason is a 19 year old model out of Dallas TX. Although only in the industry for a short period of time, she has excelled and created a name for herself from here to Los Angeles CA. Growing up she was involved in beauty pageants, dance, and competitive cheerleading. At the age of 17 she was on her own supporting herself entirely, and that’s when she discovered her passion for modeling. Once she finally turned 18, she was having the biggest names in Dallas asking to shoot with her, and offers from low rider to playboy magazine. this girl has her mind set and this is what she wants to do with  her life.

What first interested you in modeling and what finally got you started.

As a little girl I always knew I was to do something different with my life. The corporate world just wasn’t for me. Modeling gives me the chance to take on another character, and showcase beauty in numerous ways.

What are your goals in modeling or other related interests.

Eventually I would like to make a living off of modeling. Even if I never make the victorias secret runway or the cover of vogue, this is what I love to do. I can’t say what the future holds for me in this industry because it’s changing every day, but I can say that I won’t ever stop and I believe success is in my future.

How long have you been in the industry and what have you learned thus far

I’m just a baby I started a year ago at 18 years old.  I dont work with an agency so I book all of my own shoots. I went from taking Myspace pics to shooting with some of the biggest names in Dallas. Ive learned valuable tips and taken excellent advice from every photographer I’ve shot with. I get better with every photo shoot.

Who are some our your role models and inspirations

I have a couple, for this industry? Victorias secret angel Adriana Lima hands down. She is stunning and her look is so versatile. I definitely envy her. As for who inspires me… My boyfriend Cory, he is always leveling me out. He has a beautiful outlook on life and is always so positive. He encourages and pushes me to be the best person I can be. He inspires me to be a better woman.

What are your recommendations to someone interested in becoming a model

Never give up. As cliche as it sounds, It’s true. Everyone always told me i couldn’t do it. That I was pretty, but not pretty enough to be a model. I didnt have family, or an agency to help me out. I worked, went to school, paid all of my bills and modeled on my own without a vehicle.  I started networking on Facebook and practicing my “model face” in my bathroom mirror. Anything is possible with a little faith and a lot of heart.

If you could go back and redo anything thus far in your career, what would it be

Absolutely nothing. I have been blessed to work with some of my city’s most recognized photographers, and have my work published for brand name companies. I’ve learned a lot about myself and made lifelong friends along the way. It’s Been a beautiful journey so far, and I’m only a year into this.

So what makes you so Funky?

My outrageous personality and sense of humor. Ask anyone who spends a lot of time with me, I’m a total dork. I make up dances for everything from cleaning to getting ready. I never laugh the same twice and I’m always full of energy.

Could you describe your version on the most perfect day in which everything was just perfect for you?

I’m always so busy, my perfect day is in bed with my boyfriend, no makeup, comfy cloths, movies ,wine, and take out sushi. It really doesn’t get any better than cuddling up in the arms of someone you love.

What is your hidden weakness or personal passions?

I have a passion for life in general. I have a 5 year plan, and I know what I WILL achieve. Iv been on my own for quite sometime now. At 19 iv provided myself with the capability to live   Above the standard for someone my age. Financially I’m blessed, all due to my hard work. My passion in life…is, just life.

Look for me in playboy and lowrider. Those two are coming up really soon! As for everything else? Who knows where my journey will lead me. Just don’t forget this name. I promise you will see me again.
