To understand what this guide really is, takes an understanding of what it really isn’t. This isn’t your garden variety magazine. In the internet age, the magazine is taking a huge back seat to the rapid fire delivery of information overload provided by the multitude of entertainment websites, podcasts, and the ubiquitous wikipedia. So what this is not, is a comprehensive essay or in-depth examination of any item, artist, place or talent.
So then what is the guide for then? Well quite simply, I’m attempting to direct your attention to some interesting, often intriguing, and always entertaining new finds from across the globe, as well as in your back yard.
Each item in this guide gives you just enough information to let you decide if you would like to seek more information, enhance your understanding, or just look at the pictures of our amazing BP Girls.
Let’s face it, we’re not made of gold and this guide is provided to you free of charge and free of the ad overload that feeds the magazine business. In order for us to get the information we want to you, we’ve split our information delivery into three major components. First is this guide. You make the decision as to what you want to follow up on or what you don’t. Second is our website, you can go to BackPocketMag.com and read an enhanced media-rich version of the teasers we’ve presented here, purchase items you like, watch videos, or download the free music. Our final component is our podcast series. Stay Tuned.
Call it the new delivery for the new generation, call is web 3.0, doesn’t matter, we’re gonna get it to you.
But we don’t want to stop there. We want to hear from you. What do you think we need to feature next, what has earned the right to be seen by our over 300,000+ monthly magazine subscribers? Send us a tip or even better still join our team of content curators.
So enjoy the new format, the new spirit, and new focus. That is until we get tired and start all over again.
