Allan “Frankie” Wade known to the music world as “OHIO” was introduced as one of the newest members of Stack Holders in early 2009. With his name deriving from his hometown of Warren, Ohio, this 17 year old has grabbed the attention of many with his self proclaimed mid west style and force of energy. As one of the two main artists on the label, Wade has already begun working toward perfecting his craft as an artist. Warren, Ohio also known as (The Dub)
How did you get into making Music?
I’ve been around it my whole life. I had this old boom box which I used to record myself. My whole family is involved in music; My mom sings in church & my dad was a rapper and I also played in a band. My uncle who plays the bass guitar always had me around, so just in general I love sounds and the power of music.
What makes you different from other artist?
Its a multitude of things, but to keep things simple, I would have to say my energetic stage performance and my presence on the track.
How did you end up with your current label or squad?
Blessings, I met up with Change Ay through a mutual friend and he introduced me to Preme and Ant Banne (two of Stack Holders execs).
Who do you have in your CD player right now?
This young dude named OHIO, he’s sick. I think he’ll go far…
Who influenced your music growing up?
Mostly 2pac and that Midwest flow (i.e. Bone Thugs, Twista, Nelly)
How would you define your sound? East Coast? Midwest or Down South?
Midwest definitely, it’s who I am but living on the East Coast only elevated my style
Where do you see your self in 5 years?
I see myself and my team with a couple albums and tours under our belt, making music with some of the best artists of our generation.
What projects do you have out right now and what can we look for in the coming months?
Right now “Ohio State” the mixtape is available for a free download at www.stackholdersmusic.com. Also, we’re working on my 1st solo album and a special themed mixtape that will showcase my versatility and appreciation for the art form.
